David Wright, son of the late Elder Timothy Wright and Evangelist Betty Wright has been installed as the new Pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Church in Brooklyn, NY. The 30-year old son takes the reins of the church founded by his parents over two decades ago. Pastor David Wright fills the pastoral void caused by the passing of his father, who passed on April 24 after being critically injured in a car accident on July 4, 2008. (July 14, 2009)

Pastor Rodney Posey is set to record his next effort. The live recording, titled A New Song of Worship Part II, will take place on July 26, 2009 at Overflow Ministries Covenant Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Posey is perhaps most well known for his 1999 hit “El Shaddai”. (July 15, 2009)

Legendary vocalist Lisa Page Brooks is gearing up for her long awaited return to the industry. The longtime lead singer of the group Witness has signed to Habakkuk Music Group and will release her new effort Strong on October 20, 2009. Page Brooks recently made a guest appearance on the song “The Blood Still Works” at the recent live recording of VaShawn Mitchell. (Aug 11, 2009)  

Gospel legend Albertina Walker is preparing to celebrate her 80th birthday with a large two-day celebration. The Albertina Walker Scholarship Foundation will sponsor a birthday gala on August 29, 2009 in Chicago, IL at the Hyatt Regency Chicago with Yolanda Adams, Tramaine Hawkins, The Caravans, Joe Ligon, Ami Rushes, and Joshua’s Troop serving as special guests. A second celebration concert will take place on August 31, 2009 at The Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, IL. The concert, hosted by Dr. Bobby Jones and Pam Morris, will feature Pastor Shirley Caesar, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, The Clark Sisters, Bishop Larry Trotter & the Sweet Holy Spirit Choir, Ricky Dillard & New G, Kathy Taylor, and Dexter Walker & Zion Movement Chorale.
